Serving the Frontline, Because I’ve Been There.
Healing isn’t just something I teach—it’s something I’ve fought for. I am living proof that transformation is possible. As a survivor of domestic violence, childhood trauma, and generational cycles of dysfunction, I know firsthand what it feels like to be trapped, unseen, and unheard. To carry wounds so deep they shape every decision, every relationship, and every belief about what’s possible.
But my journey didn’t stop with survival. It led me to stand in the gap for others who are still fighting their way through.
Before founding Nine Seconds Corporation and The Compass for Change, I was a six-figure corporate executive—outwardly successful but internally unraveling. Like so many others who serve and lead, I wore a mask of strength while battling burnout, self-doubt, and unhealed trauma. I had no healthy coping mechanisms, only the pressure to keep pushing forward. My unaddressed pain nearly cost me everything—my career, my freedom, and my life.
It wasn’t until I barely escaped with my life from domestic violence that I realized: change wasn’t just an option—it was my only way forward.
Serving the Frontline, Because I've Been There.
Through my work as a certified chemical dependency counselor, trauma recovery coach, and behavioral health administrator, I’ve seen firsthand the immense pressure direct care providers, first responders, and frontline workers carry every day. I’ve worked inside rehab facilities, crisis centers, and mental health organizations where the people helping others are struggling in silence themselves.
As a Red Cross Volunteer, I witnessed the toll that disaster response takes on those serving in the field—compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and exhaustion that too often go ignored. Who stands in the gap for those who serve?
That’s why I created Hope Unshaken—a lifeline for the frontline. A space where the people who show up for others finally have somewhere to turn for themselves.
Hope Unshaken is my way of paying it forward. Because for me, survival is a responsibility—and no one should have to do it alone.
